Found you whilst hunting info on Walken Fisher and was surprised to find his various other interest. If you can advise whether any of his works are on display I would be grateful. We were fortunate to purchase 2 original watercolours in late 1975 and now we have access to a computer are researching his work. You are quiet right about his influence, very impressed with images on your site. Regards

I found this most interesting as I have just bought at auction a watercolour by Harold Johns entitled Evening Buttermere. It is a delightful picture , obviously painted by a skilled artist and your narrative has given me an insight into his background. Many thanks.

Hi, Great site and I loved the piccies. The site of machines battling each other against the magestic arena of the skies etc. I just wish a WWI artist would paint close ups of the pilots in the ***** pit to show the huma angle on the conflict. Either with the plane in the air or on the ground. This would also better illustrate that the plane is really such a fragile beast of canvas and wires. Do you know if anyone does this?

Hi Dave, Just wanted to say how very much my partner & I admired and enjoyed viewing your website and your paintings. To me your landscape paintings have a very Turner/Constable feeling with a dream-like quality in the landscape and light patterns in the skies. There is restraint but I feel deep emotion in your work. (I am not a critic but only a lover of art in its many forms.) The aviation paintings are so very different full of movement, energy and strength. I was particularly interested in the painting that our Canadian Aviation Museum in Ottawa bought. Do you have a photo you could email me? I will of course drop by the museum and see if it is hanging. I hate to admit that while I live in Ottawa I have never been to the Aviation Museum. Now I have a reason to go to admire your work. Congratulations and best wishes in your future endeavors. Sincerely, Gord Ellis Ottawa, ON CAN
