My car is (finally) packed up and to be shipped this afternoon. Hopefully, it will be in Dave's hands by Thursday.

In the same package, there is a plastic envelope containing a 7 tooth, 1.5 mm bore pinion, an 8 tooth 2mm bore pinion and a bronze 32 tooth crown gear grafted to a Slot-It hub. There is also a length of 1.5 mm ID, 2 mm OD SS tubing to bush the shaft if you decide to go with the 8 tooth pinion. (Both the 7 tooth pinion and the SS tube will require grinding off the knurling on the Scaley shaft - I do it by just holding a fine file to the shaft with the motor turning under its own power)

The crown wheel is good but not perfect - it has a bit of axial run-out so needs to be set up loose. Given the modest torque of the FF cans, this should not be a problem.

I love the battle scarred sharknose/hammerhead and I think Alexis is right that it should display its wounds with pride!
Thanks John for trying to adjust the guide, I rushed the car and new I had not got the guide post tubing quite right but didn't have time to redo it before posting the car.
It will be great to see Al's Fergurson join the grid for Ladybrook.

Jusst picked up on your statement about your round being on the 5th August, is that confirmed?
The reason I ask, is you may not know that Mac and I are going to Dick Smiths 1.5l event at his track at Netley this weekend 2nd/3rd, and we both have our proxy models for this event!
It looks pretty dodgy to expect her majestys Mail to get both models to you on Tuesday, even if we go 1st class post on Monday!?
I realise its our problem, and I have not spoken to Mac yet, but what are your thoughts on this issue?
