Did a bit of number crunching on the results and came up with an interesting set of figures that demonstrate just how large the margin is by which Graham is outdistancing the field:
I calculated the average lap time for each car by dividing the total time by 80 and then compared this number to see what the difference was between each pair of adjacent cars in the finishing order.
The average time differential, per lap, between pairs was 0.1129 seconds. the smallest was 0.0071 seconds and the largest was the difference between Graham's winning average and the second place car: 0.2848 seconds - better than 1/4 second per lap on a roughly 5 second lap. To put that in perspective, it means that his car would have lapped the second place car every 20 laps or 4 times in a head-to-head 80 lap race!
Hard to catch.
