Re:Round 4 Earls Hall Park - 2008/09/24 03:16 Hello David,

Any idea if something is wrong with my car? I seem to have lost about seven places overnight. Did the wheels fall off?

Thanks,

Jim

Re:Round 4 Earls Hall Park - 2008/09/24 03:28 Jim,

I think this will explain it, per David...

Jim's car also had no grip in practice but come race day it went very well. Jim was just so unlucky with sevearl deslots that cost him chunks of time in his heats.

Re:Round 4 Earls Hall Park - 2008/09/25 17:49 I've done a points table following the fourth round of the series.

I think it is correct but if anyone spots any mistakes please let me know.

Re:Round 4 Earls Hall Park - 2008/09/26 03:24 Did a bit of number crunching on the results and came up with an interesting set of figures that demonstrate just how large the margin is by which Graham is outdistancing the field:

I calculated the average lap time for each car by dividing the total time by 80 and then compared this number to see what the difference was between each pair of adjacent cars in the finishing order.

The average time differential, per lap, between pairs was 0.1129 seconds. the smallest was 0.0071 seconds and the largest was the difference between Graham's winning average and the second place car: 0.2848 seconds - better than 1/4 second per lap on a roughly 5 second lap. To put that in perspective, it means that his car would have lapped the second place car every 20 laps or 4 times in a head-to-head 80 lap race!

Hard to catch.

Re:Round 4 Earls Hall Park - 2008/10/03 17:44 Graham
Apologies for the delay in replying. Unfortunately there won't be a round at the Southend Club so the next round of the proxy will be at Wolves. I'll bring all the cars up to the Saloon Car race and hand them over to Mac.

Re:Round 4 Earls Hall Park - 2008/10/03 19:12 I shall be very interested in the Wolverhampton result - may provide some insight into whether it was my building or my driving that was hopeless last February.

Re:Round 4 Earls Hall Park - 2008/10/20 06:23 Just to confirm that all the cars have safely made it to Wolverhampton, I handed them over to Mac at the club yesterday and no doubt he will announce when the next round of the proxy will take place shortly.
